استقبلت الأستاذة الدكتورة غادة فاروق، نائب رئيس جامعة عين شمس لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، نيابة عن الأستاذ الدكتور محمد ضياء زين العابدين، رئيس الجامعة، السيد الدكتور جيمس كوك، مساعد نائب رئيس جامعة واترلو بكندا للبحث العلمي والعلاقات الدولية، وذلك لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون بين الجامعتين. حضرت اللقاء الأستاذة الدكتورة شهيرة سمير، المدير التنفيذي لقطاع العلاقات الدولية والتعاون الأكاديمي بالجامعة، والأستاذة الدكتورة نيفين عاصم، الرئيس التنفيذي لقطاع التدريب والابتكار بالجامعة، والأستاذ الدكتور عادل الصباغ، مدير مركز الابتكار وريادة الأعمال، والأستاذة الدكتورة شيرويت الأحمدي، مدير إدارة الوافدين والأساتذة الزائرين بالجامعة.
وأعربت الأستاذة الدكتورة غادة فاروق عن ترحيب جامعة عين شمس بتعزيز العلاقات الثنائية مع جامعة واترلو، مؤكدة أن هذا اللقاء يمثل نقطة انطلاق مهمة لتعزيز التعاون بين المؤسستين الأكاديميتين المرموقتين. وأعربت عن تطلّعها لبناء شراكة مستدامة تعود بالفائدة على الطلاب والباحثين في كلا الجامعتين. وأكدت سيادتها على اهتمام جامعة عين شمس بفتح آفاق التعاون مع الجامعات العالمية المرموقة، حيث تعتبر هذه الشراكات أحد أهم محركات التطور الأكاديمي والثقافي. وشددت على حرص الجامعة على التعاون في مختلف المجالات الأكاديمية والبحثية. وبعد الاستقبال، عقدت الأستاذة الدكتورة غادة فاروق اجتماعاً مع مديري المراكز بقطاع الابتكار والتدريب (مركز الابتكار والإبداع - مركز التوظيف - مركز التدريب والتطوير) لمناقشة سبل تعزيز التعاون والتقدم بمشروعات مشتركة. وحضر هذا الاجتماع الدكتور أحمد عبد العزيز، مدير مركز التوظيف، والدكتورة وئام محمود، المدير التنفيذي لمركز الابتكار.
Professor Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, welcomed Dr. James Cook, Assistant Vice President of the University of Waterloo in Canada for Research and International Relations, on behalf of ProfessorMohamed Diaa Zain Al-Abidin, President of the University. The meeting aimed to explore avenues for strengthening cooperation between the two universities.

These centers are directly involved in collaborative efforts and developing joint projects. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz and Dr. Weam Mahmoud, respectively the Director of the Employment Center and the Executive Director of the Innovation Center, were present at this meeting.
